Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord shines over you. – Isaiah 60:1
Forged in fire. That’s what makes this cup so strong, it’s maker likely carefully planned its design to improve its durability.
Today this cup was sitting on the hood of my Tahoe when I pulled out of the garage , it impressively made it 3/4 of the way down the driveway and a large pothole caused it to fall off.
All of this happened without me realizing . I am that distracted 🤣.
I realized upon arriving at my destination that I had left it on the hood and knew I would come back to find it in pieces on the ground. This felt like a major bummer moment because I LOVE this cup. It represents much more than the “rise and shine” it states on the side . It is a prophetic declaration made over this season of life by my kingdom sister .
When I returned home and saw it intact laying in the drive I leaped out with joy to snap a picture and dust it off.
I feel like this cup some days, empty of what makes me feel useful lying in the dirt. Today I realized that the joy I saw in my cup unbroken in the driveway is how God feels about me ! He is faithful to pick me up, dust off the dirt and fill me back up with grace and mercy needed for my day.
Today was hard. Today felt like all kinds of failure but I am grateful because I remain unshattered because my creator took the time to design me so perfectly.
He picked me up and dusted me off so that I may “rise and shine” with the endurance he made me for
“I am the Lord. I have called you
for a righteous purpose,
and I will hold you by your hand.
I will watch over you, and I will appoint you
to be a covenant for the people
and a light to the nations, – Isaiah 42:6
